I often want to make paintings about the search for answers that propels us personally and culturally through life, but I don’t want to make paintings about people looking at paintings. Instead I use reading as the best visual tool to express that search.
The folks in this work are imperfect in form, but happy. They are evolving, learning, becoming something else. All of this, and more, through story.
